Women of Power Conference – 7 March 2025 from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM at STORM’s Building.

The event promises a day filled with inspiration, fun, and celebration. Highlights include catering by MasterChef Louise Simms, guest speakers, entertainment by Alicia Warren and Phoenix, and various workshops and activities like manicures, makeovers, and engaging presentations. A fashion show will feature designs from talented women, and a certificate ceremony will honor those who have completed exams at STORM. There will also be goodie bags, giveaways, stalls, and live music, making for an exciting and enriching experience. The event aims to celebrate women, foster community engagement, and provide empowerment.

Our Annual Women’s Conference is there to empower women to become stronger individuals and to encourage them to believe that anything is possible, even if they are bringing up children on their own. Empowering the parents will in effect empower the young people. Through our guest speakers and workshops, we will be expressing and showing factual evidence, getting the message across that “Nothing is impossible, you can do it!”

It takes place every year around International Women’s Day (March 8th)

Please contact and check our website for more info about each and every Women’s Conference, thank you.

Peace Concert

Each and every year, STORM holds its Peace Concert. This event is for the promotion of harmony amongst all – especially for our young people. The whole event was born of adversity, namely our founder’s son surviving a horrific and violent assault of a knife attack.

This concert is for all our youth everywhere, to let them know that there is a better way to live; a life that does not involve violence of any sort whether by knife, gun and even a physical attack. It seeks to bring youth together in peace and provide intervention for those on the periphery of criminality or those already involve in crime by showing them the avenues of positive living through talks, testimonials, interactive activities, and music.

We carry this event out with the aim of young people eventually taking the lead and showing their peers how beneficial for themselves and for family positive living can be – regards to career, vocation, and recreation; as well, of course, for general holistic health & wellbeing.

National Listening Day

The aim of national listening day is to not only to shine a spotlight on how much our young people need to have their voices heard, but also to raise awareness regarding the overall delicate issue of mental health with young people. This will empower our youth whilst educating young people how to ask for support as well as obtain vital information about therapy and general restorative avenues for healing. This day is for encouraging our young people to speak about their well-being while letting them know that we as adults are here to listen.

The theme of our day is ‘Say it Your Way’ – and this phrase was actually spoken by one of our young campaigners themselves. The hope & aspiration are that our young people can really talk about their personal struggles; express their feelings, pains, hurts, anxiety, depression, music, entertainment, politics etc to be encouraged to ‘Say it Your Way’.

The voices of the future need to be heard. Launched in 2021, this day is now official; and we very much look forward to each year’s event every 18th November
